£30,000 funding available to community projects
A £30,000 fund has been made available to groups across Perth and Kinross to support cultural activities and events.
The first round of Perth and Kinross Creative Communities Fund grants went to a diverse range of schemes earlier this year.
Now a fresh round of grants of up to £1,500 has been made available for projects that will showcase the talents of local communities and get people involved in cultural activities.
Projects can be a one-off, a series of regular events, a special exhibition or a performance, and applications are welcomed from community groups, charities, networks, partnerships, parent teacher associations, residents associations, arts organisations and geographical communities.
Provost of Perth and Kinross, Dennis Melloy, said: “With this fund we are looking for applications that will bring communities and generations together to celebrate and connect with their local culture, celebrate the diversity of our communities and use digital technology in an innovative or creative way.
“We saw a number of fantastic projects and events benefit from the first round of funding and we are keen to keep this momentum going to help us celebrate our region’s cultural diversity.
“I look forward to hearing about what is delivered in communities throughout Perth and Kinross with this second round.”
The CCF programme will close either when all of the funds have been allocated or on March 9, 2018.
Successful projects must be completed by March 31, 2018.
