Bullocks (177) sold to a top of 261p per kilo for 375kg Limousins from Glenkilrie Partnershi­p and to £1,350 for 600kg Aberdeen Angus from the Goddens to average 231p per kilo.

Heifers (203) sold to a top of 264p per kilo for 375kg Limousins from Cairnleith and to £1,260 for 535kg Limousin from the Goddens to ave 225ppk. Leading prices:

United Auctions, Stirling, had 328 breeding cattle and a catalogue entry of 7,941 at their annual sale of BF draft ewes and gimmers.

Top price of the day went to E MacMillan, Lurg, with a pen of 10 gimmers which made £480 per head.

He also topped the ewe section at £310 with a pen of 25. Bulls:

Windsole (Lim 2yo) £24; Nairn Farms (AA four-and-a-half year-old ) £2,200.
