Grants available for local groups

-

Community organisations in Perth and Kinross are being encouraged to apply for a Scotland-wide community bursary scheme.

Property management company Ross and Liddell is offering grants of up to £500 to community organisations which aim to make a difference to their local area by supporting individuals and families.

Since the bursary scheme launched in 2011, the firm has awarded in excess of £55,000 to more than 130 organisations across the country.

The payouts include more than £1,000 to groups across Perth and Kinross last year.

Irene Devenny, managing director at Ross and Liddell, said: “As we launch this year’s bursary, I would encourage everyone involved with community groups and organisations to apply. We are looking forward to supporting more community groups over the coming year.

“The funding has a very positive impact on groups and their communities, and we love to hear feedback from organisations on how the funding has helped change lives. We continue to be overwhelmed by the interest in the community bursary scheme.

“We feel it’s important for the company to play an active role in the communities it serves.”

Community groups can apply by visiting ross-liddell.com/ community-bursary.

The closing date is Friday November 3.
