Local YMCA raises thousands for mental health campaign

A Perth organisation is joining forces with a national campaign to highlight mental health issues in the young.

Research conducted by #IAMWHOLE researchers has shown that one in 10 young people in the UK have a diagnosed mental health difficulty.

This year, Perth and District YMCA held a fundraiser challenge called Y-Athlon to raise money to build this campaign throughout Perth and Kinross. The Y-Athlon involved the entire staff team and the challenge was made up of cycling, hiking Ben Nevis, and canoeing Loch Ness.

The Y-Athlon journey took the team from Perth to Inverness and raised over £7,000 for the #IAMWHOLE campaign.
