Police have warned that farming insiders may be helping criminals stage raids on rural properties across Tayside. It is feared national and international gangs are being directed to plum targets in Perth and Kinross and Angus. High value farming machinery and vehicles, have all been taken “to order” in targeted thefts across Courier Country’s regions. At least one gang has been smashed by Police Scotland, but investigators believe others are being directed towards easy marks by informants.
