Plan ahead for night-time work

-

Motorists have been warned about roadworks at a busy interchange on the edge of Perth.

Three nights of routine bridge maintenance will be carried out at the M90 Craigend interchange, junction 10, from Monday.

The overnight operation will allow for maintenance on all of the slip roads and structures.

The work will focus on tasks such as cleaning bridge deck joints, carriageways and verges, as well as drainage clearance and landscaping.

Various slip roads on the interchange will be closed for three nights between 7.30pm to 6.30am.

Signed diversions will be in place throughout the work.

Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s local representative, said: “These maintenance works are part of our commitment to ensuring that the north-east network continues to be of the highest standard and to carry out works with minimum inconvenience to motorists.

“Every effort will be made to minimise the duration of the closures each night so as to minimise disruption to motorists.

“We encourage motorists to plan their journey in advance and to check the Traffic Scotland website for real-time information before setting out.”

The works will be carried out by BEAR Scotland and have been planned in consultation with police, Perth and Kinross Council and Traffic Scotland.
