Carnival Fifty Six may have been and gone but the Rhumba lot certainly haven’t. It’s their 26th birthday party tomorrow so join them for a night of deliciousl­y, naughty forest-inspired, party antics at The Ice Factory in Perth.

Joining them will be 3D (Upstairs), Seb Fontaine B2B Tall Paul (Downstairs), Tom Simpson Curates (The Courtyard), along with loads of others.

They also invite you to join them before the club at That Bar on South Street from 7pm until 11pm.

There will be a free shuttle bus from this bar to the club. There will also be buses from Dundee and Angus.

Welsh pop punk group Junior are at Deacon Brodie’s tonight as part of a four-date Scottish tour.

Acoustic duo Bathtub Hooch cover all decades and genres at Westport Bar tomorrow from 10pm. Entry will be free.

MAD Sounds is back at the Reading Rooms tonight with a Manchester-themed night to celebrate The Happy Mondays’ Dundee show.

From The Fall and The Smiths to Joy Division and The Stone Roses, there will be Haçienda classics and the usual alternativ­e/indie tunes. Gates open at 11pm. Tomorrow All Good presents Dusky, a London-based electronic duo who make house music with a distinctly UK undergroun­d edge.

Dusky’s sound is influenced by everything from deep Detroit techno and bumping UK garage to classical and jazz to avant-garde electronic­a.

Residents Ethan Bell and Van D are on warm up from 10pm.

Ethos are keeping it simple on Thursday with residents Matt and Spam playing house, techno and disco all night long.

Songwriter­s Sunday is hosted by Gav McGinty and Martin Tino Allan from 8.30pm.

Dave Webster’s open mic night is on Wednesday at 8.30pm.

Cherry Bombz are unplugged tonight at Nine Maidens from 8.30pm, then on Sunday at Bay Horse at 5pm.

Coconut Groove play funky grooves and party tunes at Clark’s on Lindsay Street tonight.

Tomorrow there’s passionate soul and Motown sounds from The Mess Arounds.

Dave Webster and Stevie Anderson of Sinderins host this week’s Sunday Song Club from 7.30pm.

Clark’s favourite Martin Stephenson returns to Pre Production on Thursday with his band The Daintees.

Martin formed The Daintees in his teens with the intention of showcasing a broad range of musical styles and has released a succession of critically acclaimed albums over the past three decades.

The Daintees’ critically acclaimed 1986 debut album Boat to Bolivia showcased Stephenson’s songwritin­g, poetic romanticis­m and spiritual depth and set him on a musical journey through folk, ragtime, jazz, rockabilly, show tunes, punk pop and country.
