-

The Scotland starlet conjured up a single strike to keep Wildcats on the back foot in a captivating battle.

At DISC Grove Menzieshill were doing their goal difference a power of good in slotting seven past Hillhead.

Jude McMullan started the rout with Jenny Walls, Sarah Jamieson and Katie Robertson also finding the net before half-time.

Erin Stevens took it to 5-0 before Jamieson and Robertson doubled their personal tallies in a onesided contest.

Clydesdale Western leapfrogged Wildcats into third spot but they were made to work hard before claiming the points against MJV Wanderers at Dalnacraig.

Heather Howie’s deflection opened the visitors’ account with Millie Brown running in a second before Emily Dark’s solo effort took the result right to the wire.

Grove’s second string lost both outings in Championship 1, losing 5-0 to Edinburgh University before going down 4-2 against Haddington.

Vicky Carver and Lynn Jack ensured Kinross emerged with the Champ 2 bragging rights against Perthshire, and they collected a further three points when last week’s defeat to St Andrews was overturned on account of the students breaching the umpiring rules.
