Concerns about deer poaching
Police Scotland has appealed for information over concerns about possible deer poaching in Strathearn.
At around 4am on November 9 officers received a phone call from a resident who lives near a farm in Comrie after torchlights were seen in areas where deer are known to congregate at night.
A police spokesperson said: “The caller was concerned that poaching may be taking place.
“Officers attended at the area immediately but there was no trace of anyone and no evidence of deer poaching.”
Police have also issued a warning to residents to be aware of counterfeit currency being circulated in the area after a fake £20 Bank of England note was tendered in a shop on Kinross High Street at around 4.15pm on November 20.
Elsewhere, a blue Mercedes car, parked on Rannoch Road in Perth, was targeted by vandals between 8 and 9.20pm on November 7, when its paintwork was scratched.
Two of its tyres were damaged the following day, between 7.30 and 10pm.
The windscreen of a Toyota Auris was damaged while it was parked at Perth Royal Infirmary between noon and 9pm on November 3.
A set of number plates bearing the registration SH55CXA were stolen from a silver Suzuki Alto parked on Atholl Road, Pitlochry, overnight on November 10-11.
