Man denies dangerous driving

A motorist will stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court next year, accused of driving dangerousl­y and into the path of an oncoming car.

James White, 51, of Rumblingwe­ll, Dunfermlin­e, denies driving at excessive speed on April 23 on the A912 Perth to Muirhead road, a mile north of its junction with the B996 Bein Inn road.

White is accused of failing to negotiate a left-hand bend and driving into the opposite carriagewa­y and into oncoming traffic, where he collided with a car and his vehicle left the road.

He also denies driving without insurance on the same date and at the same location. He is due to go on trial at Perth Sheriff Court on March 14.

Helen Brown, 55, of Tay Street, Perth, will stand trial on January 29. She denies a charge that she assaulted a man on November 10 in Crieff Road, Perth, by punching and slapping him on the head.

Brown also denies struggling violently with two police officers.

Andrew Rockett, 56, of Bachilton Farm, Main Street, Methven, will appear for sentence on December 5.

He admitted being unfit to drive in Main Street, Methven, on July 22 through drink or drugs.

Daniel McDiarmid, 17, of Ritchie Place, Perth, will face trial on March 13.

He denies assaulting a woman in Ritchie Place, Perth, on September 16 by repeatedly kicking and punching her.
