MILNATHORT: Milnathort Town Hall Associatio­n’s annual general meeting takes place in the town hall on Thursday November 30 at 7.30pm.

There will cheese and wine refreshmen­ts.

BLAIRGOWRI­E:

City of Dundee Lions raised more than £3,000 from their charity shop at Howe’s in Reform Street, Blairgowri­e.

Members will decide at their next meeting at the start of December which charities will benefit.

ACCORDION: Perthshire accordioni­st Gordon Pattullo has released a new CD which features him multitrack­ing melody and harmony accordion parts on 26 Christmas favourites.

CHORAL SOCIETY: Perth Choral Society will be performing Handel’s Messiah on Sunday December 3 in Perth Concert Hall together with the City of Perth Sinfonia and four soloists.

Conducted by Peter Rutterford, it will feature soprano Hazel McBain, alto Fiona Mackenzie, tenor David Lynn and bass Philip Gault.

EDUCATION:

A new series of courses will begin at Perth College UHI in the New Year aimed at those looking to develop new skills for the future or get ahead in a competitiv­e job market.

FUNDING:

Kinnoull Tennis Club has received a £9,406 grant from the Big Lottery Fund.

The club will use the money to carry out improvemen­ts at its clubhouse, including enhanced disabled access.

CHRISTMAS:

A craft fair and coffee morning in aid of the local Friendship Club will be held in the Methven Community Centre on Saturday December 2 from 10am to 3pm.

Stalls include ceramics, knitwear, leather craft, jewellery, stained glass, photograph­y and cake and candy. Tea, coffee, biscuits and filled rolls will be available. Admission is free.
