HIGH SCHOOL: Senior pupils at Perth High School have organised a coffee morning on Saturday from 10am-11.30am in St Matthew’s Hall, Perth (the Watergate entrance). Funds raised will go to Bongani High School, Douglas, Johannesbu­rg.

Books and DVDs will be on sale and there will be home baking and coffee.

NATIVITY:

Perth North Church will host a display of 21 decorated trees along with a nativity scene in their gardens as part of their Christmas tree festival.

The festival will run from December 6 to 9.

PITLOCHRY:

Singin’ In The Rain will be performed at Pitlochry Festival Theatre, with the musical’s opening night taking place at 7pm on Friday. It will run until December 23.

ST JOHN’S KIRK: Perth’s Carilloneu­r, Dr Ian Cassells, will celebrate St Andrew’s Day on Friday with a programme of Scottish music.

The recital will begin at 12.30pm on the bells of St John’s Kirk, Perth.

The kirk will be open to the public so that people can hear the music as well as see Dr Cassells on the large screens in the building.

SCONE:

A Christmas bingo tea will be held in the Robert Douglas Memorial Institute, Abbey Road, Scone, on Friday at 7.30pm.

FLORAL ART:

RHS Perthshire Floral Art Club Christmas meeting is in the Royal George Hotel, Perth, on December 5 at 7.30pm.

The demonstrat­or will be Linda Soutar from Dunfermlin­e.
