True Christmas classic bringing festive cheer to the Rep’s audience

-

Excitement and anticipation is building, with music drifting through the corridors and filling the building with festive expectation for Dundee Rep Ensemble’s latest Christmas production.

Neil Duffield’s magical and fresh adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic novel, A Christmas Carol, is performed by the Rep’s very own award-winning ensemble and directed by Andrew Panton.

The production of the well-loved play boasts an outstanding cast of nine, featuring the Rep’s resident members Ewan Donald, Lewis Howden, Irene Macdougall, Ann Louise Ross and Emily Winter, alongside guest actor Scott Gilmour.

It also stars new graduate apprentices Eleanor House, Hannah Pauley and Jamie Pritchard – who are all making their main stage debut at the Rep.

They will also be joined on stage by a group of performers who make up the Young Company.

Bringing together magical design and live music in an original take on this iconic tale, resident ensemble member Ann Louise Ross will take on the role of a female Ebenezer Scrooge.

With a heart locked up tighter than a cash box, Scrooge must endure the visits of three spirits for the chance to open up and relish in the joys and aspirations of others.

A Christmas Carol will run until Sunday December 31.

Age recommendation is 5 or over.
