Fife AC junior Ben Sandilands celebrated his call up to the Scotland team for next months Antrim Internatio­nal Cross-Country, winning the Pitreavie AAC Jingle Bell Race, writes our athletics correspond­ent.

The U15 athlete clocked 16 minutes 28 seconds over the 4.5km course around the Pitreavie playing fields, 18 seconds clear of PH Racing over-40 veteran Tommy Lawrence.

Leading female Jemma Jamieson (Pitreavie) placed eighth overall in 17 minutes 47 seconds.
