Bogus caller cons elderly woman
Police are appealing for information after an elderly Kinross woman was conned out of a “significant” amount of money.
The incident took place on December 11 when a male, not thought to be local, phoned the lady and persuaded her to transfer the money to an unknown bank account.
Police have not revealed how much money she lost.
Elsewhere, a car wash machine in Main Street, Kinnesswood, was forced open and a quantity of cash stolen, overnight December 18/19.
Meanwhile, vandals sprayed the word “Venom” on a door in Hospital Street, Perth, on December 18.
Thieves stole a woman’s purse while she had been shopping in Morrisons, Caledonian Road, Perth, on December 18.
Overnight December 14/15, a number of road signs were stolen from the M90 motorway near the Glenfarg area.
Officers are trying to trace thieves who broke into an outbuilding at Almondbank Filling Station, and stole a number of parcels.
Between December 14 and 16, thieves entered private land at Tormaukin Hotel, Glendevon, and stole items from a metal container.
And a car that had been parked at Well Brae, Pitlochry, between December 14 and 16, was vandalised.
