Motorist accused of risking crash with police on way to emergency
A motorist is alleged to have risked a crash with a 999 vehicle on its way to an emergency call-out.
Arlene Munro is alleged to have driven dangerously on the A9 between Perth and Stirling at Cairnie Braes on July 28.
The charge states that she failed to observe a police car with its emergency lights activated and went into the offside carriageway and into the path of the police vehicle, causing the driver to take evasive action to avoid a collision between the two vehicles.
Munro, of Perth, is also accused of not having a valid MoT at the time.
She denied the charge when she appeared at Perth Sheriff Court yesterday and will appear again at the end of the month.
