Perth Sheriff Court bulletin

-

A woman has appeared in court accused of photographing two people through the windows of their homes.

Vicki Ward is alleged to have stalked Amanda McGowan and Douglas Pearson at an address in Perth last summer.

It is said that between July 20 and August 22, the 66-year-old engaged in a course of conduct which caused Ms McGowan fear and alarm by repeatedly attending at her address, repeatedly following her, repeatedly looking through her windows and appearing to take pictures and video of her from outside her home.

It is further alleged that at the same address between July 20 and 28, she engaged in a course of conduct which caused Douglas Pearson fear and alarm by repeatedly appearing to take photos and video of him, repeatedly following him and repeatedly appearing to photograph and film him while he was at the windows of his property.

A third charge alleges that Ward damaged the door of a vehicle at the address with the door of her own car on July 28.

Ward, of James Street, Perth, denies the charges and will stand trial at Perth Sheriff Court in May. A motorist is alleged to have hit a cyclist in a hit and run incident in Bridge of Earn.

Helen Flett is alleged to have driven dangerously in the village on May 7 last year.

It is said that the 64-year-old drove at excessive speed before mounting the nearside kerb at speed and undertook cyclist Mark Wishart before colliding with him and forcing him to take action to prevent himself falling to the ground.

The incident is said to have taken place on Wicks o’ Baiglie Road at the junction with Kintillo Road.

It is further alleged that she failed to stop after the collision and that she failed to report it to police within 24 hours.

Flett, of Manse Road, Perth, denies the charges and will stand trial later this month.

A man has appeared in court accused of sending a threatening letter.

Derek Adam, 45, is alleged to have behaved in a threatening and abusive manner at Perth Prison by sending the letter, which contained remarks of an “alarming and threatening nature” as well as demands for money, on July 23 2016.

Adam, of Alloway Terrace, Dundee, denies the charge.
