Building work could soon start on 40 new affordable homes

Constructi­on work on a major new affordable housing developmen­t in Newburgh could start on site next month, it has emerged.

Kingdom Housing Associatio­n has confirmed it is close to completing a design and build contract with Robertson Partnershi­p Homes for 40 new properties at Banklands.

A total of 22 flats and 18 houses have been proposed. They will be a mixture of one, two and three-bedroom properties.

If agreement is reached as expected, work should commence in February. The developmen­t has been earmarked for completion in the spring of 2019.

Kingdom is working in partnershi­p with Fife Council to construct new affordable housing throughout the region.
