Trust Golf to be marking the card at Hereford
Kerry Lee’s charge can swing home at a canter in course’s handicap hurdle
GASSIN GOLF is the pick in the myracing.com Free Tips Every Day Handicap Hurdle at Hereford.
He found Call Me Lord too good when third at Sandown earlier this month, but he put in a solid effort that day against what could be a very smart horse.
The fact he has won just once in 23 outings over hurdles would perhaps not inspire too much confidence, but Kerry Lee’s charge still retains plenty of ability.
It will be interesting to see how
TOTALIZE goes over fences for the first time in the totequadpot Novices’ Chase at Ayr.
Brian Ellison’s nine-year-old has been off since finishing third over hurdles in a competitive handicap at Galway in the summer of 2016, having previously finished seventh in the Chester Cup and sixth at Royal Ascot.
He switches to the larger obstacles relatively late in life, but there is no doubting his ability. SWEET AS CANDY has shown enough to suggest there is a race like the toteplacepot “National Hunt” Maiden Hurdle in him.
His hurdling bow was not without merit, on the back of a fair bumper effort, and there can only be improvement from those outings.
