Man sent abuse images to iCloud

-

A man caught with indecent images of children had uploaded several of them to an online storage facility.

Peter Wilson was found to have sent the photos to his iCloud account on seven occasions.

Police found the 39-year-old had 12 images on a laptop when they carried out a search at his Bridge of Earn home.

Wilson, of Kintillo Gardens, admitted that between October 2015 and March 2017 he downloaded indecent images of children at his home address.

Sheriff Gillian Wade deferred sentence for reports and Wilson was remanded in custody.

Depute fiscal Charmaine Gilmartin told the court: “A search warrant was executed at the home of the accused on March 6 2017 and a number of electronic items were seized.

“Examination of these revealed images of children on a silver iMac belonging to the accused.

“A total of 12 children were found – three in unallocated sections, meaning they had been deleted by the user.

“The remainder were found in a folder marked iLifeAssetManagment.

“They had been uploaded using a photostream application to the iCloud account of the accused. They were created in that location on seven different occasions between October 26 2015 and September 5 2016.”

Of the images, one was of the worst type, with two in category B and nine in category C, the least serious grading.
