Signed, sealed but undelivered

-

A glossy tribute show to American idol Stevie Wonder has been cancelled.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered was due to take to the stage at Perth Concert Hall in March as part of a national tour.

But now promoters have called off the gig. No reason has been given for the cancellation, other than “unforeseen circumstances”.

Horsecross Arts, which runs the venue, has promised anyone who has bought tickets will receive a full refund.

A spokeswoman said: “All customers who have been booked have been contacted for refunds.”

A date at Dunfermline’s Alhambra Theatre has also been cancelled, meaning the only other Scottish show will be at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow on February 11.

A gig lined up for Southport in early March has also been scrapped.

The touring show features US singer Lejaune Andre, supported by a seven-piece band and backing singers. Organisers promised back-toback number one hits including Superstition, Higher Ground, Master Blaster and Sir Duke, as well as Stevie’s biggest international chart-topper I Just Called To Say I Love You.

Other tribute shows scheduled for Perth Concert Hall include the Bowie Experience and Rock N Roll Paradise, a celebration of Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly and other performers who changed the music world forever.
