Reece Hillis plays the Green Room in Perth tonight. The young soul blues guitarist, singer and songwriter is soaked in the sounds of Sam Cooke, Al Green, Janis Joplin, The Doors and all the great heroes.

In 2014 Reece was a nominee for a British Blues Award, as young artist of the year. He’s supported by Empty Jhar and Lora MacLeod.

Tomorrow night at the Green Room songwriter and former Slim Chance member Drew McCulloch and his band bring some Ronnie Lane and Gallagher & Lyle classics, plus original songs.

Entry is free and the gigs start at around 9.30pm.

It’s Open Vinyl Night on Sunday from 8pm.

57 in Dundee has its weekly acoustic session tonight at 9pm.

Tomorrow it’s Chain Gang in the teatime slot from 5.30pm.

Junkyard Dogs are in their usual Sunday residency at 7pm.

There’s pop punk classics from Cherry Bombz tonight at Clark’s on Lindsay Street.

Tomorrow The Funkin’ Idiots play floor-filling funk and disco.

Both start at 9.30pm, with free entry before midnight.

There’s a special acoustic show from The Xcerts on Sunday to coincide with the release of their new album, Hold on to your Heart.

It’s the first Reckless Kettle party of 2018 tonight at the Reading Rooms, with resident Fergus Tibbs on solo DJ duties.

Expect the usual mixture of techno, 80s, house, post-punk, jazz, salsa, afro beat and more. Gates open at 10.30pm and entry is £5 all night.

The Locarno boys are back tomorrow with their alternativ­e slice of ’50s and ’60s music from rock & roll, soul and surf to pop, garage and rockabilly.
