FOLK CLUB:

The Outside Track, a band who perform Scottish, Irish and Cape Breton songs, will be appearing for the first time at Glenfarg Folk Club at Backstage at the Green Hotel, Kinross, on Monday January 29, with music starting at 8pm.

BINGO TEA:

A bingo tea in aid of North Inch Bowling and Sports Clubs will be held on Tuesday at 2pm in the St Johnstone Club, Barossa Street, Perth.

GUILDTOWN: Guildtown Friendship Club’s next gathering will be on Wednesday when there will be a Burns Supper afternoon from 2pm to 4pm.

Members of the local community are welcome for an admission charge of £5.

INNER LINK: Musician Michael Ellacott chased away the January blues for the Inner Link 3 Club of Perth at its latest meeting with humorous tales of his life on the ocean wave and his music and songs.

The club meets again on Tuesday in the Salutation Hotel, Perth, at 10am for a 10.30 start, when they will hear about the Perth prayer shawl ministry.

The next Messy Church, which happens on the last Sunday of the month at Moncreiffe Church, Glenbruar Crescent, Perth, is on Sunday January 28 from 11am to 1pm.

PERTH MEN’S SHED: Perth Men’s Shed kicks off the 2018 session today with a presentati­on and demonstrat­ion by the Perthshire Woodcrafte­rs.

The group meets twice a week in the North Inch Community Campus, in the technical department, on Wednesdays from 5pm to 8pm and Saturdays from 10am to 1pm.

SOUP LUNCH:

Perth Methodists are holding a soup lunch at their Scott Street church today from 11.30am to 1.30pm, after their usual weekly coffee morning.

Homemade soup, crusty bread and bacon rolls will be available.

There will be home baking on sale and also a book stall.
