Grab a ticket and go...

Champing at the bit to get away, but can’t quite decide where to go? Never fear, Gregor Miller, sales manager at Ramsay World Travel has his ear to the ground as far as 2018’s top travel destinations are concerned;

-

Florida

There are so many flights from Scotland to Orlando that this destination is becoming more popular each year. There is now more competition between airlines, which is good news for holidaymakers as it keeps the prices low. There is so much to do and see for all ages in Florida that it always proves to be one of our most popular destinations. This is truly a family favourite and it ticks all the boxes when choosing your next family holiday.

Bulgaria

This entry might be a surprise to some people but Bulgaria is proving to be a big hit this year as it is such good value for money. In fact, it has consistently been voted one of the best value for money destinations in Europe. Bulgaria isn’t part of the Eurozone, meaning that prices can be really low, with a local beer costing less than £1 and three course meals available for less than £10. Bulgaria has a great climate, fantastic beaches, a wide variety of nightlife and a selection of waterparks to choose from. I visited Bulgaria myself last year and had a fantastic holiday!

Cruising from Dundee

The opportunity to cruise direct from Dundee is now in its third year and has never been more popular. Some of the cruises are almost sold out for 2018. The cruise ship Magellan will be back in Dundee this year, with six cruises to choose from in May and June. We have received fantastic feedback over the last two years and it continues to be a success. Being able to go on holiday from your very own doorstep saves so much hassle, plus there are no baggage limitations and no queuing at airports. Our customers comment on the fantastic food, first class service and great entertainment.

Twin Centre Holidays

This is another growing sector, with holidaymakers enjoying the best of both worlds. Popular destinations include locations as far apart as Dubai and Bali. Dubai is always a favourite and Bali is great value for money and boasts some amazing beaches. New York and Las Vegas is another popular combination taking in the bright lights of the USA. Or why not head to Thailand to experience the city of Bangkok and the beautiful beach destination of Phuket?

Majorca

The largest of the Balearic Islands is always a favourite with Scottish holidaymakers. There are dozens of direct flights available from Scotland and the short flight time of less than three hours is a great bonus for families travelling with young children. There are so many resorts to choose from on Majorca, all offering different things such as Magaluf for its famous lively nightlife or more of a family resort like Alcudia in the north of the island. There are also several waterparks, fantastic beaches and hundreds of excursions to choose from. The capital city, Palma, has some magnificent architecture so this destination really does have something for everyone.
