Bus passengers face changes to services during roadworks

Bus passengers in Bridge of Earn are being advised of alternative arrangements which will be in force while a road in the village is closed for resurfacing.

Due to the Monday to Friday closure of Heughfield Road, Bridge of Earn, from Wednesday for two weeks, Stagecoach services 36 and 56/56A will be unable to serve Heughfield Road and the Kintillo area.

Passengers in Kintillo are advised that before 9.30am and after 7pm (Monday to Friday), they should use Stagecoach service 17 for travel to/from Perth.

Between 9.30am and 7pm (Monday to Friday), a Stagecoach shuttle bus service will operate from all Kintillo bus stops to the bus stop on Main Street, (opposite Side Street), Bridge of Earn, for transfer to services 36 and 56 to Perth.

When returning from Perth to Kintillo, the transfer point is the bus stop at the Old Mill on Main Street, Bridge of Earn.

Kintlllo passengers wishing to travel south before 9.30am and after 7pm should walk to the Old Mill bus stop on Main Street to board their bus there.

However, between 9.30am and 7pm they may use the shuttle bus and alight at the Old Mill bus stop where they can then board service 36 or 56. When returning to Kintillo, these passengers should alight at Main Street, opposite Side Street, for transfer to the shuttle bus back to Kintillo.

Passengers in Heughfield Road should walk to Main Street and board their buses at and opposite the Old Mill.

It should be noted that all bus services will operate normally on Saturday and Sunday as Heughfield Road will be open on both these days.
