-

Gavin Thomson hit four for Violet as they beat Blairgowrie 5-3 away from home.

Violet are now four points clear of third-placed Kinnoull.

Coupar Angus went goal crazy at home to Lochee Harp, all after the visitors took a second-minute lead.

Alan Leith equalised on 11 minutes before Alex Gibb put them in front on 14 minutes.

Arran Fraser made it three on 23 minutes and Coupar led 3-1 at the break. After half-time Gibb scored number four and Fraser added the fifth and sixth to complete his hat-trick. Gibb wasn’t to be outdone and completed his own treble with his side’s seventh goal 20 minutes from time.

East Craigie were 3-1 winners over Arbroath Vics at Craigie Park. Nik Mann, Andrew McDonald and James Russell scored for the Shipbuilders with a trialist scoring the visitors’ consolation.

Kinnoull’s hopes of winning promotion took a dent at home to Lochore Welfare with the sides drawing 2-2.

Anesu Tabengwa was on target once again for Newburgh but, unfortunately for them, it was no more than a consolation as North End made it 13 on the bounce with a 5-1 victory.

Nathan Scott grabbed a hattrick with Ryan Rigden and Frankie Devine also scoring.

Scone Thistle bounced back from last week’s derby defeat by Kinnoul to beat Forfar Albion 4-0 at home.

Ben Moffat scored the opener on 14 minutes before Arran McKay made it two just before the break. Max Avolio scored the third just after the hour and Stephen Moon notched the fourth in stoppage time.
