Bittey iy row over housework

-

A heated argument over housework saw a Perth woman grab her partner by the throat and bite him on the face.

Christina Miller clamped her teeth down hard on David Bowd’s left cheek after the pair exchanged words at their home in Tweedsmuir Road.

The city’s sheriff court heard Miller had been angry because Mr Dowd had returned home late, apparently not for the first time.

At the heart of their difficulties was her belief he was not doing his fair share of the housework.

As matters escalated, Miller is said to have grabbed her partner and bit him on the cheek, causing it to bleed.

The noisy argument was overheard by the couple’s neighbours, who were so concerned they called Police Scotland.

Officers arrived a short time later to find Mr Dowd had suffered reddening to his face and had a bite mark clearly visible on his left cheek.

Despite the wound, he is not thought to have required medical attention.

Solicitor Cheryl McKnight told the court the couple were now back together and attempting to put the incident behind them.

Miller, 29, admitted assaulting Mr Dowd to his injury on December 27, 2017.

She will return to court for sentencing on September 26.

Sheriff Lindsay Foulis challenged her to be good behaviour in the meantime.
