Dokens stay eight points clear after beating Scone

-

Dundee Violet continued their challenge to North End at the top with a 2-0 win at home to Scone Thistle on Saturday.

Gavin Thomson scored from the spot on 37 minutes and Cammy Black doubled the advantage five minutes before half-time to take all three points for the Pansies.

With both of their original games postponed, North End faced Coupar Angus at North End Park and the Dundee side maintained their eight-point lead at the top, winning 2-0.

Barrie Pullar put the Dokens in front just before the break and Ryan Smith made it 2-0 on 50 minutes.

Arbroath Vics made it three home wins on the bounce with a comfortable 4-0 victory against Lochore Welfare.

Craig Tosh scored the first on 25 minutes then Ryan Robb made it two 10 minutes later.

It stayed that way until the 82nd minute when Josh Chalmers made it 3-0 and in the dying minutes a Kenny Hay penalty completed the scoring.

Decisions change matches and that was definitely the case at Downfield Park as Kinnoull came back from 3-1 down at half-time to win 5-3.

Lloyd Young scored Harp’s first after seven minutes only for Greg Whyte to equalise. Lewis Fyfe made it 2-1 to Harp before Ryan McKillen made it three before the break.

The incident that changed the game saw Brad Miller sent off for a seemingly great tackle and the Perth visitors took full advantage.

Darren Gray pulled a goal back to make it 3-2 before David Gray equalised on 79 minutes.

Darren Gray made it 4-3 in added time before Ben Ragen scored the fifth.

The referee was in the spotlight at Brownlands Park as Luncarty came from behind with 10 men to beat East Craigie.

Adam Brown put the visitors in front on 23 minutes and Luncarty found themselves in real problems when they had keeper Gordon Chalmers sent off after 25 minutes.

With no keeper on the bench, Dan Walker had to go in goal and managed to thwart everything the visitors could muster.

Jake Dolzanski won the game for Luncarty with two goals, on 70 and 75 minutes, to take the points from a fiery encounter.

The games between Blairgowrie and Brechin Vics, Coupar Angus and Newburgh and Forfar Albion and Dundee North End were postponed.

● In the North Region Montrose Roselea’s game at Maud in the McLeman Cup was postponed.
