Pregnant partner was thrown down stairs and dragged by hair

-

A man who carried out shocking assaults on two former partners has been jailed for 18 months.

Josh King, 22, formerly of Islay Road, Dunfermline, admitted on August 24 2012 at Leishman Drive, Dunfermline, he assaulted his then-pregnant partner by seizing her wrists, pulling her out of the front door, dragging her by the wrists and hair and slapping her on the head and body.

The woman was still pregnant when, between June 1 2012 and March 30 2013 at Rex Park and Elliot Street, he assaulted her again by repeatedly dragging her by the hair, pushing her over, standing on her body and walking over her, seizing her by the hair, pulling her to her feet and throwing her back to the ground.

King punched and kicked her, pushed her partially over metal railings and threatened to throw her over the railings.

Between June 1 2012 and March 3 2013 at McClelland Crescent, he repeatedly seized his victim by the throat, throwing her down a flight of stairs, shouting at her and pinning her against a wall by the throat.

On May 10 2013, at Jokers, Hospital Hill, he again assaulted the woman by pushing her, causing her to fall, punched her on the face, seized her by the hair, pulled her out of a taxi and repeatedly punched her on the head and body.

King abused a later partner between September 1 2016 and February 28 2017 at Westwood Place, by seizing and pulling her by the clothing and striking her to the head.

He is currently behind bars having been jailed last year for 28 months for a street assault on a 13-year-old boy.
