With all this winter stuff around just now, maybe this is the time to think ahead to summer.

TRNSMT Festival has added the phenomenal Jessie Ware to an already packed bill on Sunday July 8, joining headliners The Killers, CHVRCHES, Franz Ferdinand, Friendly Fires, Lewis Capaldi and Hudson Taylor for an outstandin­g closing day.

Jessie Ware is proving herself unstoppabl­e after the success of her 2017 third album “Glasshouse” placed her as one of the best singersong­writers in the country.

This addition to the bill builds on the brilliant mix of acts set to play this year’s TRNSMT Festival including headliners Stereophon­ics, Liam Gallagher and Arctic Monkeys and proves Glasgow Green is the place to be for music fans this summer.

The Script, Courteener­s, Interpol, James Bay, Wolf Alice, Blossoms plus some of the best up-and-coming names in music such as Lewis Capaldi, Sigrid and IAMDDB will also take to the stage in Glasgow Green from June 29-July 1 and July 6 and 8.

On the same note, later in the summer, on August 2, 3 and 4, Primal Scream, Paloma Faith, Amy MacDonald and Frightened Rabbit are the headliners at the Tartan Heart Festival at Belladrum 2018.

You Me At Six, The Charlatans and Fun Lovin’ Criminals, plus loads more, make it another fantastic Belladrum.

Headway welcomes techno DJ DVS1 to the Reading Rooms tonight. Immersed in the heydays of the 90s Midwest rave scene, DVS1 has gained a highly respected reputation for his versatile skills, infectious energy and physical power behind the decks.

Tomorrow Nightvisio­n presents Eats Everything.

Few producers in the history of dance music have made such a rapid and farreachin­g impact on the electronic music scene as Eats Everything.

This larger-than-life beat maker is at the forefront of a swathe of talented producers to come out of the West Country bass epicentre known as Bristol, defining an entirely new strand of undergroun­d music.

Westport Bar has femalefron­ted pub rock cover band Pretty Shameless tomorrow. That’s free entry from 10pm.

The 60s are in the tea time slot at Number 57 tomorrow from 5.30pm.

On Sunday it’s The Junkyard Dogs in their usual 7pm residency.

McDaniels has Chilli Dogs tonight at 9pm then tomorrow it’s In Soul from 9.30pm.

The Bob Dylan Band celebrate the musical legacy of the iconic troubadour with classic songs from a career spanning more than 50 years at Beat Generator Live!.

Advance tickets are £10 from Groucho’s and Tickets Scotland and doors open at 8pm. Tomorrow it’s the Cherry Bombz Rock Night with a special two-hour set of rock classics from the band plus old school tunes from DJ Joe Digan.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets are £6 from Groucho’s or the band.

Rolling Stones tribute The Stones are on Thursday from 8pm.

Cherry Bombz also play an unplugged set tonight at 8pm at Nine Maidens.

Sound Machine provide the entertainm­ent at the Kettledrum Bar tomorrow night.

The music starts around 8.30pm and it’s free entry.

There’s Northern Soul and Motown classics at Clark’s on Lindsay Street tonight from The Mess Arounds.

Tomorrow Last Orders play classic rock and riffed up pop.

Both start at 9.30pm with free entry before midnight.

Dundee Musician’s award winner and member of Wire and Wool Barry Nisbet launches his solo project at Clark’s on Sunday (see What’s On feature).
