perform in perth: Talented youngsters in good voice for readings and public speaking
The second day of the Perform in Perth festival was dedicated to the spoken word.
Competitors took to the stage of the Soutar Theatre in the AK Bell Library yesterday for verse speaking, prepared readings, public speaking, dramatic solos and Bible and Shakespeare readings.
Other classes were given over to poetry with works by Robert Burns and Perth poet William Soutar performed.
Today the musical side of the festival gets under way with drum, xylophone and timpani classes.
The venue for these classes is again the Soutar Theatre.
