Pupils perform in percussion classes at Perth festival

Snare drum and xylophone classes held yesterday

The first musical classes of this year’s Perform in Perth festival have taken place.

The programme moved on to snare drum and xylophone classes yesterday at the Soutar Theatre of the AK Bell Library.

It followed a successful day of poetry and speech classes on Wednesday.

The Soutar Theatre will be used today to catch up with some of the classes which had to be cancelled due to the weather at the start of the week.

Tomorrow the Glenearn Community Campus will be used for the first time this year for bagpipe classes.

In the afternoon the campus will host Scottish country dancing.

The second week of the festival starts on Monday in Perth Concert Hall with choirs. Results:
