An east Perthshire company has donated £20,000 to Save the Children.

Blairgowrie-based Castle Water raised the money by giving customers signing up to direct debit the option of a £50 donation to Save the Children, a £50 refund, or a £50 Amazon voucher.

John Reynolds, chief executive officer of Castle Water, said: “We are very grateful to those customers who have helped us to raise funds for Save the Children in this way. By working together, we can help Save the Children support children in emergencies by providing access to safe, clean water.”

During December, Castle Water also raised more than £1,000 for Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day festive campaign.
