Paramedic banned from hospital after stalking former partner

A love cheat paramedic was banned from entering a hospital because he had been stalking the nurse who dumped him when she discovered his affair.

Lee Northcott, 41, of Pickletullum Gardens, Perth, had been ordered to stay away from Perth Royal Infirmary after his former partner told police he had been folowing her at work and at home.

Yesterday at Perth Sheriff Court, Northcott was banned from going near Nicola Cassidy, 35, for the next six months after a sheriff imposed a conduct requirement upon him.

Sheriff Gillian Wade told Northcott the only exception to the ban would be if it prevented him from “carrying out his duties at Perth Royal Infirmary”.

She also ordered Northcott to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work in the community and told him to attend the Positive Relationships group work project.

Northcott, who has been moved from his previous position by ambulance chiefs, was also placed under the supervision of social workers for six months.

Sheriff Wade told him: “It is unfortunate you have come to the court’s attention as a result of this offence.

“You are a first offender and you have a good job with an important role to play in society.

“I take that into account but this would have been quite distressing for the individual involved and concerning for her to have been bombarded with text messages of this nature.”

Northcott admitted stalking her at her home and elsewhere by contacting her by telephone, text message and on social media.

He also admitted causing fear or alarm by also trying to contact Ms Cassidy through her friends on social media.
