Teenager will stand trial over rape charges

COURT: Man aged 19 denies carrying out attacks across Tayside and Fife

- STEWART ALEXANDER

A Dundee teenager accused of raping four women in the space of two years will stand trial later this year.

Jordan Dunn, of Auchinblae Place, allegedly carried out sex attacks on women at various locations in Tayside and Fife between 2015 and 2017.

The 19-year-old denies that on various occasions over three months in 2015, at three different locations in Blairgowrie, he assaulted a woman, seized her by the body and then raped her.

It is further alleged Dunn committed a similar offence on various occasions between dates in 2016 and 2017 at an address in Fife, at a house in Angus and a house in Dundee.

Dunn denies pinning a woman to a sofa, removing her clothing and then raping her.

A third charge alleges that on April 29 last year, at another address in Dundee, he assaulted another woman, pinned her to a sofa, removed her clothing and raped her, to her injury.

Dunn is also alleged to have, on November 7 last year, at an address in Dundee, assaulted a fourth woman by removing her clothing and thereafter raping her.

Dunn initially appeared at a private hearing at Dundee Sheriff Court in December. During the brief appearance, Dunn made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.

No motion for bail was made by Dunn’s solicitor Ross Donnelly.

Dunn appeared for a criminal preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow to answer the allegations against him. He pleaded not guilty to all four charges.

Dunn is scheduled to stand trial at the High Court in Livingston on June 25.
