Kim Liddiard has been appointed the new convener of the Friends of Innerpeffr­ey Library.

The outgoing convener, Peter Parke, was presented with a commemorat­ive rose bowl at a reception held in the library as part of the group’s annual general meeting.

GUILDTOWN

The local Friendship Club are holding a bingo tea in Guildtown village hall on Friday.

There will be a raffle and refreshmen­ts.

Doors open 6.15pm for eyes down at 7.15pm. Players are advised to bring their own cups.

Admission costs £1.

PERTH

St Matthew’s Guild is holding a coffee morning on Saturday, from 10am until 11.30am at St Matthew’s Hall.

There will be home baking and a lucky dip.

Admissions will cost £2.50 for adults and £1 for accompanie­d children.

BRIDGE OF EARN

The Earn Singers are holding their annual charity concert on Saturday in Dunbarney Church.

The event will begin at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 available from choir members or on the door. PERTH

Perth Concert Hall will host the Carpenters Story on Wednesday May 2.

The show will begin at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £26.50.

PERTH

The next meeting of the Perth and Kinross Prostate Cancer Support Group will be held in the Salutation Hotel in Perth on Tuesday at 1.30pm.

The speaker will be Dr Michael Kellaher who will provide the group with an update on the latest medication­s available to develop a cure for prostate cancer.

INNER LINK

The Inner Link Club of Perth will next meet on Wednesday May 2, at the city’s Queen’s Hotel.

Coffee will be served at 10 am, followed by a presentati­on from the Vine Trust.

The annual meeting will be held at 10.30am, before lunch at 12.30pm.

MUSIC

Glenfarg Folk Club will meet at the Green Hotel, Kinross, from 7.30pm on Monday .

Music will be provided by acclaimed North Carolina artist Rob McHale.
