Unpaid work for Perth woman who spat at police officer

-

A woman has been told to carry out unpaid work after she spat at a police officer during a domestic argument.

Edith Reid, 21, pled guilty to spitting on the arm of PC Neil Aitkenhead on April 10 last year.

Perth Sheriff Court heard officers had gone to the scene of a disturbance involving Reid.

The officers were making their way from the house when Reid spat at PC Aitkenhead.

Sheriff Gillian Wade sentenced Reid, of Kestrel Way, Perth, to 50 hours of unpaid work.

This was reduced from 75 in light of her early guilty plea and engagement with social workers.
