CELEBRATIO­N Abernyte Parish Church is holding a celebratio­n of weddings and baptisms over the weekend of May 26-27 to raise funds for the church.

This will take the form of displays of wedding dresses and baptism robes belonging to members or their families who have either been married or baptised in the church.

The church is linked with Inchture, Kinnaird and Longforgan and the newlymerge­d youth groups will also be selling items to raise money for the Cambodian Community Developmen­t Organisati­on charity, with the aim of supplying latrines to at least two rural communitie­s.

COFFEE MORNING

A coffee morning will be held in the Madoch Centre, St Madoes, from 10am to noon on Saturday.

Join for tea and coffee, home baking and chat, guess the teddy’s birthday, peruse the various stalls and try some of the many activities in the centre.

Admission is by donation at the door.

All donations of baking, books, CDs and DVDs will be gratefully received.

FARMERS’ MARKET Perth Farmers’ Market takes place this Saturday in the centre of the city from 9am until 2pm.

QUIZ NIGHT Forteviot Village Hall will be holding a quiz night on Friday May 18 at 7.30pm.

Tickets cost £3 per person, with a maximum of four entrants per team. Refreshmen­ts will be available.

TRIP

There will be a coach outing to Pitlochry for Scone Seniors’ Club on Wednesday June 6.

Members are requested to obtain tickets priced £13 from the Hub, Balformo Road, on Wednesday May 9 between 10am-noon.
