There were many witnesses at Cupar for the trial of the Leslie paper mill workers on charges of contravention of the Conspiracy and Protection of Property Act during the strike at Fettykil Mill six weeks ago. Wm Verdun Anderson, of Smith, Anderson & Co, paper manufacturers, Leslie, was the first witness. His examination by the depute fiscal had not gone far when the sheriff intervened, saying he understood the strike had been settled and did not think it desirable to have the past raked up.
