Omega in court move to close German unit
Scottish medical testing firm Omega Diagnostics has moved to begin insolvency proceedings in relation to its German business unit.
Omega last month said it planned to close its loss-making allergy unit in Germany and an Indian manufacturing site.
The Alva-based group yesterday said it had not been able to conclude a sale of its German business and had therefore decided to initiate insolvency proceedings through the German courts.
The move is expected to incur costs of up to £450,000 to the parent group.
