Britain’s Best Home Cook

Mary Berry is back on the box. Some may have thought that her TV career would slow down after The Great British Bake Off moved to Channel 4, but not a bit of it. Instead, she’s become one of the BBC’s major faces, and its bosses are hoping she can turn this new series into a success. Claudia Winkleman hosts, while Berry heads a judging panel that also includes chef Dan Doherty and omnipresent produce expert Chris Bavin. Ten talented home cooks enter the competition tonight, desperate to prove they’re the best in Britain. They’ll be challenged to prepare classic dishes, often with their own personal spin.
