Bleachers and Dokens to fight hard for victory

-

Luncarty welcome newly crowned North League Champions North End.

The Bleachers have a formidable home record, having only dropped two points and are still very much in promotion contention.

The Dokens were narrow 2-1 winners in the first meeting, so this has all the prospects of a very keenly fought affair.

Kinnoull complete their campaign with a visit from Blairgowrie and hope to do so by extending unbeaten run to 11 matches. Provided Tom Whyte comes through a fitness test, boss Alan Cameron has a squad of 17 available.

Blairgowrie are minus regulars Gordon Pirie, Robbie Hood, Gordon Norrie and Rudi Brown, while Steven Findlay and Greg McDonald will undergo late fitness checks.

Coupar Angus have Newburgh as guests and hoping for the three points that would see them leapfrog the visitors in the table. But Stuart Hill, Alex Gibb, Jamie Oldfield and Ryan Stuart are all injured, leaving the Foxhall side down to a bare squad of 16.

Burgh boss Scott Hudson is pleased with the progress his side have made since his arrival, but would like to see that reflected in results. Kyle Fraser is ruled out after being injured last week.

Bottom of the table Forfar Albion who drew 1-1 with Brechin Vics in midweek are at home to Arbroath Vics.

It is the visitors’ final game of the season and they expect to include a couple of trialists in their squad.

Meanwhile, Brechin Vics, who have nine long-term casualties, have just six signed players available for the visit of Lochore Welfare.

South League

After last week’s terrific 6-1 win at Craigroyston, Oakley United will be odds-on favourites to win away at second bottom Stoneyburn.

Apart from Tony Doubleday, boss Richard Fox has a full squad.

Meanwhile, Lochgelly Albert has a much stiffer task away to league leaders Pumpherston. Indeed, the Lothian side has only dropped three points at home and the Berts are struggling a bit with injuries and are missing Pat Armour who is away with Scotland Under 19s.
