Davie grabs late United leveller

-

Lochee United left it very late but took a point from a 1-1 Super League draw at Broughty Athletic last night.

The home side took the lead with 15 minutes to go through Kevin Milne.

The Fed looked like they would take the points in their last game of the season until Logan Davie popped up to equalise in stoppage-time.

Carnoustie Panmure took a makeshift squad to Dundonald Bluebell, partly with a view towards Sunday’s GA Engineering Cup final but also due to work commitments.

However, the Gowfers went in at half-time 2-0 in front.

Adam Harwood headed home from a Derek Paterson free-kick on 25 minutes and a minute later Pat Martin doubled the advantage when he lobbed the keeper from a John Roberts pass.

Whatever Jason Dair said to his side at half-time worked as within 10 minutes of the restart Bluebell were level.

Jason Penman pulled a goal back on 50 minutes and then a mistake in defence allowed Callum Smith to equalise three minutes later.

Carnoustie’s inexperienced line up looked to have weathered the storm but in stoppage-time the referee pointed to the spot after a foul by Ryan Roche and Archie Campbell scored the penalty and earned the points for his side.

Brechin Vics youngsters gave it a real go at Blairgowrie but unfortunately the home side were too much for them as they ran out 6-2 winners.

Blairgowrie goals came from Darren Neave, James Simpson, Gary Axworthy and a Matty Adam hat-trick, Liam Bailey and Connor Coupe scored for Vics.

Coupar Angus upset Luncarty at Brownlands Park coming from 2-0 down to win 3-2.

Sean Fergus scored for Luncarty goals while Scott Gray, Lee Maloney and Stuart Banks counted for Coupar.
