Routes to the Hampden final

-

• Fourth Round - Celtic 5 Brechin 0: The holders eased into the defence of their trophy as James Forrest, Scott Sinclair, Olivier Ntcham, Dedryck Boyata and Odsonne Edouard all found the net in a romp against the Championship whipping boys.

• Fifth Round - Celtic 3 Partick 2: Forrest kept his side’s treble charge on course with a hat-trick as the Hoops overcame some spirited Jags resistance to progress to the last eight.

• Quarter-Final - Celtic 3 Morton 0: Jim Duffy’s side proved hard to shift but Moussa Dembele’s secondhalf double and a late strike from substitute Edouard eventually saw the Hoops through with room to spare. • Semi-Final - Celtic 4 Rangers 0: Celts blew their derby rivals away with a merciless Hampden battering. Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor put Rodgers’ team in complete command at halftime and they rubbed further salt into Rangers wounds with second-half spot-kicks from Dembele and Ntcham. • Fourth round - Motherwell 2 Hamilton 0: Well suffered a Lanarkshire derby defeat in their final game before the winter break but got revenge on Accies as they kicked off their cup campaign, with Scott McMann’s own goal and a Craig Tanner penalty proving the difference.

• Fifth Round - Dundee 0 Motherwell 2: The record books will show Kevin Holt’s own goal put the seal on the Steelmen’s Dens Park triumph but Robinson felt striker Curtis Main deserved to collect the goal bonus alongside opening-scorer Tanner after forcing the Dark Blues defender into his mistake.

• Quarter-Final - Motherwell 2 Hearts 1: Skipper Carl McHugh’s stunning late volley was enough to propel the Fir Park side past the Jambos after Kyle Lafferty had cancelled out Well striker Main’s opener.

• Semi-Final - Motherwell 3 Aberdeen 0: The fired-up Claret and Amber troops simply blew the Dons away as Main grabbed a double either side of a Ryan Bowman strike to send Robinson’s team to their second cup final of the campaign.
