Groups get together for fun day
Around 60 community groups, organisations, businesses and services are joining forces for a special event to celebrate the important role they have in enhancing the quality of life for people in Kinross-shire.
The Better Place To Live Fair 2018 at Loch Leven Community Campus in Kinross will be held on Saturday June 9 from 10am to 2pm.
Organised by the Kinrossshire Community Learning and Development Group, the fair will offer a fun day of activities for all the family and a chance for residents to find out what Kinross-shire has to offer.
Alongside the diverse range of groups and organisations showcasing their work, there will be a host of activities.
Among the attractions will be an assault course set up by the Scots Guard, fitness machines and a procession of iconic vehicles.
There will also be a demonstration of crafts, a music workshop and a planetarium hosted by Aero Space Kinross.
A group spokesman said: “There will be an opportunity for local residents to join in the launch of the new Volunteer Information Point (VIP), which will be situated in the library.
“Residents will be able to find out about volunteering opportunities in the area, whilst community groups showcase what they do and the difference they make locally or just simply enjoy a cupcake or two.”
