Police appeal following theft of nine mountain bikes in Pitlochry

Police are hunting thieves who made off with nine mountain bikes worth £4,950 from a shop in Pitlochry.

The black and orange coloured Scott Aspect 720 bikes were taken from Adventure Hire at Faskally Boating Station around midnight on June 27 when the premises were broken into.

Elsewhere, thieves broken into Loaninghea­d Filling Station near Blackford around 11.25pm on June 29 and stole a quantity of cigarettes.

Vandals threw a rock that smashed a window at a newbuild house in Needless Road, Perth, overnight on June 30July 1. The rock also damaged kitchen units inside the house.

A JCB digger that had been parked at the building site was also damaged when a rock was thrown through its back window.

Vandals damaged paintwork on a grey Volvo car on sale at Strathmore Motors, Arran Road, Perth, by pouring corrosive liquid over it.

Officers are also looking for informatio­n after graffiti was sprayed on the Old Murray Royal Hospital building in Muirhall Road, Perth, overnight on June 27-28.

Thieves stole a silver and black GT Aggressor mountain bike from a close at Pomarium Street, Perth, between 7pm and 10.30pm on June 29.

Vandals damaged a blue and grey Kia Sportage car that had been parked in Welton Road, Blairgowri­e, between 10.30am and 11am on June 30.

Windows and wing mirrors of a black Suzuki Jimmy, parked off Balmoral Road, Blairgowri­e, were damaged between June 26 and 30.
