COUNTRY DANCING Perth Scottish Country Dance Club will start its winter season on Tuesday at Kinnoull Church Hall, Dundee Road, Perth.

The sessions will run from 7.15pm to 9.30pm every Tuesday until March 2019.

All former and new members are welcome.

WEDNESDAY CLUB Bankfoot Wednesday Club’s opening meeting this month will be held on September 12 at 2pm in the Community Church.

Annual subscripti­on is £5 with admission for members £1, and £2 for visitors.

The meetings are held every two weeks with tea, coffee and biscuits on offer.

GAELIC SOCIETY

The Gaelic Society of Perth will start its winter ceilidh season at St Matthew’s Church Hall in Perth on Friday September 14, at 7.30pm.

Gaelic Mod gold medallist Deirdre McTaggart will sing, and Joyce Ramsay will play the accordion.

Tickets are £6 for members and £7 for visitors.

UNISON MEETING

The first Perth and Kinross Local Authority Unison Retired Members Section meeting will be held on Tuesday.

It will take place at the AK Bell Library at 10.30am with guest speaker Sandy Watts from Perth Citizens Advice Bureau.

RHYME TIME

The Friends of William Soutar Society are holding the sixth Bairnrhyme­s competitio­n for Perth school children at 1pm on Friday September 28 at Soutar House.
