Bollan wants lost winning feeling back for Blue Brazil

-

Cowdenbeath host managerless Stirling Albion and Central Park boss Gary Bollan is looking to get all the ingredients right and come up with a second win of the season.

The Blue Brazil have stuttered since their 4-0 defeat of Berwick Rangers back in August, with Bollan saying: “We have a good squad and it is a squad of equal ability with a bit of depth to it.

“What that means is that starting jerseys are available every week. I need to pick the right 11 that will get us the win so all my efforts are going into creating the right formula.”

The Forthbank club sacked manager Dave MacKay last weekend after a 3-0 defeat at Albion Rovers, however Bollan reckons that will not have much of a bearing on this encounter.

He said: “I do not think what has happened at Stirling will make a lot of difference to this game.

“The caretaker team they installed to look after them was already there and have only had a short time to work with the players so I am expecting them to be on their usual lines.

“To be honest I have not thought too much about them and how they will react, I am only concentrating on Cowdenbeath getting a result.

“They might be after a reaction after a change of manager but I want a reaction after a disappointing run of results.”

A 1-0 defeat to the league leaders last weekend still irks Bollan, who added: “We did not play well at Edinburgh City.

“They are a big, strong side that is full of confidence but we did not perform like we can. If we did we could have won the game.

“I have also been saying since the start of the season that we have to be winning our home games and we have not been consistent in doing that.

“Hopefully we can take a step forward in that direction in this game.”

Bollan has a full squad to choose from with midfielder Gary Fraser, who started the season with Forfar, set for a third game as a trialist.
