BOOK SALE

St Matthew’s Church on Tay Street, Perth, will hold a book sale next weekend.

The event will take place on Saturday, from 10am to 2pm.

Entry is free with a selection of hardback books for £1 and paperbacks for 50p.

POPPY VOLUNTEERS Poppy Scotland is looking for volunteers from Dunkeld and Birnam and surrounding areas to help with the anniversary of the First World War.

November’s Remembrance Sunday will mark a century

since the end of the conflict.

Poppy Scotland is asking for local volunteers to help with its door-to-door campaign.

SENIORS CLUB

The next meeting of the Scone Seniors Club will take place in the RDM Institute on Wednesday, at 2.30pm.

Ronnie Fotheringham will be a guest storyteller and tickets will be on sale for future events.

FOLK NIGHT Glenfarg Folk Club will welcome Scottish folk musician Findlay Napier for a special performance on Monday October 15.

It will be held at the Green Hotel in Kinross at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 for members and £9 for non-members.
