William Hill Scottish Cup Second Round

With new manager Barry Ferguson set to take over at New Central Park this week, Kelty Hearts put in an impressive performance away to Peterhead in the Scottish Cup as they kept the SPFL side at bay until the last 15 minutes.

Russell McLean gave Peterhead the lead after eight minutes but Kelty levelled midway through the first half when Ciaran Chalmers powered home a header.

The Blue Toon regained the lead on 74 minutes when Rory McAlister, who had been kept quiet by Murray Carstairs, lost his man to score. When Derek Lyle scored in the last minute it looked all over.

However, the home side were in for a nervous last couple of minutes as Matthew Gay scored from a Stephen Husband freekick but it was just too late for the Lowland League side.
